Après Dublin en 2000, puis Helsinki, Palma de Majorque, Gorizia, Ile de Skye, Vigo di Fassa, Gdansk et Ljouwert/Leeuwarden, la neuvième conférence «Partnership for Diversity/partenariat pour la Diversité» se tiendra à Lorient/An Oriant, en Bretagne (Breizh) le 27 novembre cette année 2010, en lien avec la compétition de chant en langue minoritaire organisée par Liet International et le Festival Interceltique de Lorient avec le soutien du Conseil de l'Europe et du Conseil régional de Bretagne.
Poursuivant l'objectif de confronter les expériences, et de rechercher les voies pour la préservation et la promotion de la diversité des langues et des cultures à travers toute l'Europe, cette conférence 2010 organisée par Kevre Breizh, Coordination culturelle associative de Bretagne, veut continuer, en lien avec le réseau EBLUL notamment et tous les autres, à réunir des experts, les représentants des autorités locales et régionales, et les acteurs de la société civile qui œuvrent tous les jours pour l'expression de leurs différentes langues et cultures.
Avec l'entrée en application des nouveaux traités européens en 2010, se trouve renforcée une nouvelle légitimé pour une Europe assurant le respect de la richesse de sa diversité linguistique et culturelle fondée sur les valeurs de démocratie et des droits de l'homme et les objectifs des articles 2 et 3 des traités ainsi que sur la Charte des droits fondamentaux.
C'est pourquoi le thème de cette année veut permettre de confronter ces grands principes de diversité et de non-discrimination, à la réalité et aux actions qui sont mises en œuvre dans les différents États de l'Union, tant par les pouvoirs publics que par la société civile elle-même, et de voir le rôle que peut jouer l'Union européenne. After Dublin in 2000, and then Helsinki, Palma de Mallorca, Gorizia, Isle of Skye, Vigo di Fassa, Gdansk and Ljouwert/Leeuwarden, the ninth conference «Partnership for Diversity» will be held in Lorient/An Oriant, Brittany (Breizh) this year, 27th November 2010, at the same date as the song contest in minority languages organized by Liet International and the Interceltic festival of Lorient/An Oriant
Our purpose is to continue to compare experiences and to look for ways to preserve and promote languages and cultural diversity all over Europe. This 2010 conference, organized by Kevre Breizh, the Cultural Coordination of Brittany, working together with the EBLUL network in particular, as well as with other organisations, aims to bring together experts, representatives of local and regional elected bodies, and non-elected activists who are working daily in the field of minority languages and cultural expression.
This year 2010 the new European Treaties come into force, thus strengthening a legitimate respect in Europe for its linguistic and cultural diversity, founded on democracy and human rights, and on the aims of articles 2 and 3 of the treaties and the European Charter of Fundamental Rights.
So this year the theme of our conference will enable us to compare the fundamental principles of diversity and tolerance to the reality and to the actions carried out in the different States of the Union, both by the authorities as well as within society itself, and to discuss what part the European Union can play.
